How To Brew Your Tea

Simple guidelines for each style – start here, then adjust to taste.

Fruit & Herbal Tea

Use one bag or a heaped teaspoon of fruit or herbal blend (around 4–5g) per 200–250ml. Add freshly boiled water and infuse for 5–7 minutes, then enjoy without milk.

Flavoured Tea

Use one bag or one heaped teaspoon of flavoured tea (around 4g) per 200–250ml. Pour on freshly boiled water, brew for 3–5 minutes, then enjoy as it is or with milk, lemon or a little sweetness.

Green Tea

Use one green tea bag or one level teaspoon of loose leaf (around 3g) per 200–250ml. Let boiled water cool slightly to about 80°C, brew for 2–3 minutes, then remove the tea to avoid bitterness.

Black Tea

Use one tea bag or one heaped teaspoon of black tea (around 4g) per 200–250ml. Brew with freshly boiled water for 3–5 minutes, then enjoy black or with a splash of milk.

Rooibos Tea

Use one rooibos bag or one heaped teaspoon of loose rooibos (around 4g) per 200–250ml. Brew with freshly boiled water for 5–7 minutes until rich and coppery, then enjoy plain or with a little milk.

Tea Bags

Use one tea bag (around 2–3g) per 200–250ml cup. Add freshly boiled water and steep for 3–5 minutes, then remove the bag and enjoy.
