Recyclable Nespresso® Compatible* Pods
Just because we’ve been roasting artisan coffee here in the Lake District for 200 years, it doesn’t mean we don’t move with the times. Introducing our latest creation, recyclable Nespresso® compatible* pods, which we’re super proud of because they are a bit special.
There are lots of people producing capsules, most of them are plastic. Some people are marketing so called compostable plastic capsules but questions remain about whether these capsules can be composted at home or need to be sent away to industrial plants.
Some people are also concerned about the potential release of micro plastics for compostable capsules into the environment.

RECYCLABLE NESPRESSO® COFFEE PODS
COFFEE AS FRESH AS THE DAY IT WAS ROASTED
Our aluminium pods are hermetically sealed & packed in a protective atmosphere which means they preserve the coffee’s freshly roasted flavour for longer. Because our pods are sealed, they don’t need to be secondarily wrapped in plastic or foil bags.
MORE COMPATIBLE
The hard plastic shell of some capsules can make compatibility an issue. Farrers recyclable Nespresso® compatible* pods are made of thin sheet aluminium which ensures the greatest possible compatibility.

MORE RECYCLABLE
Aluminium is commonly collected in household waste, which means after use our recyclable Nespresso® capsules can be washed out and added into household recycling bins.
