Five delicious Christmas Cocktails to enjoy this festive season!

spiced apple tea cocktail

Spiced Apple Tea


Crushed Ice

50ml Botanical Gin

25ml Vermouth

3 apple slices

A cinnamon stick

½ teaspoon of cloves

½ teaspoon crushed cardamom pods

½ a vanilla pod

Ground nutmeg

1 Farrer’s Assam tea bag

1 teaspoon of honey

150ml water

20ml fresh lemon juice

50ml cloudy apple juice


Add water, honey and apple to a pan and gently heat. Add the spices and the tea bag when the mixture is simmering and allow to steep for 5 minutes. Then remove the tea bag, add the apple juice, and strain. Add the gin, vermouth, and freshly squeezed lemon juice, then stir before serving in a tumbler over ice and garnish with the apple slices and ground nutmeg.

French vodka coffee cocktail

French Vodka Coffee


25ml Pear Vodka

100ml Farrer’s French Continental Blend filter coffee (warm)

15ml brown sugar syrup

Double cream

Ground nutmeg


This is a devilishly simple cocktail and tasty as hell! Pour the ingredients into a tall coffee glass or a high ball glass, float the double cream on top and garnish with ground nutmeg. Et voilà!

14ml Coke

35ml Scotch Whisky

20ml Jägermeister

10ml Jamaican Rum

Triple shot of Espresso

3 cloves

1 peel of orange zest

Garnish with cocoa dust


Add the Coke to a chilled rocks glass. Add the remaining ingredients to a cocktail shaker, fill with cubed ice and shake. Strain into the glass over the Coke and garnish with the cocoa dust.


Black Tea & Blackcurrant Cocktail

Black Tea & Blackcurrant Cocktail


Cubed Ice

30ml Vodka

30ml Pomegranate Juice

30ml Blackcurrant Juice

2 teaspoons simple syrup

1 cup freshly brewed English breakfast tea (cooled)

3 tablespoons sugar

1 lemon wedge

Chilled sparkling wine


Brew the tea and add to a small saucepan, add the sugar, and stir and leave to simmer gently until the sugar dissolves. Transfer the simple tea syrup to a heat proof jar and chill in the fridge.

Add a few ice cubes to a champagne flute to chill the glass. Then add the vodka, juices, and simple syrup to a cocktail shaker with plenty of ice and shake vigorously. Once combined pour over the ice in the champagne flute and then top with chilled sparkling wine and serve.


spiced mexican hot chocolate christmas cocktail

Spiced Mexican Hot Chocolate


150ml whole milk

50ml cream

10ml dulce de leche

½ cinnamon stick

1oz 70% dark chocolate (grated)

1 tablespoon of Farrer’s Ruby Chocolate

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon salt

50ml whiskey or bourbon


Whisk together the milk, cream dulce de leche, and cinnamon in a large saucepan. Gently simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Remove from the heat and let the mixture stand for around 10 minutes. Then return it to the stove and simmer once more over a medium heat, gradually whisk  in the 70 percent dark chocolate and the ruby chocolate until melted and smooth. Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract, salt, and whiskey bourbon. Serve warm.
